The Yi Tao Boxing School of
Internal Martial Arts is
located in
Costa Mesa,
California (Orange County). We are dedicated to the preservation of fundamental
teachings and real-world combat applications passed down by
many of the great masters of the
internal martial arts systems, including:
Tai Chi (Taiji),
I-Chuan (Yi
Chuan),
Qigong (Chi Kung),
Hsing-I (Xing Yi),
Bagua
(Ba Gua/Pa Kua), and the
Yi Family Shaolin Kung-fu System.
At Yi Tao Boxing School, the student develops an increased awareness
of their
mind's control over
psychological and physiological attributes. We
also
encourage diligent practice in order to improve proprioception
(awareness of the body, in space) and the movement of
Qi/Chi (energy).
Ultimately, the goal is to use the
mind and refined power (by way of advanced body mechanics
and subtle bioenergetics), in lieu of brute force.
Yi Tao Boxing School believes
in developing martial artists who can
control all ranges of combat, from standing to grappling,
whether facing one or multiple opponents. The Yi Tao Boxing School
is a private enrollment facility; we provide individual
attention, as well as real-time fighting opportunities.
While experience is not necessary, we do expect a serious commitment from all
students.
